Our history
CMP Solmar was founded in 2013, establishing a historic union between CMP Commercio Marmi Pregiati and Solmar, a company that has been on the market for over sixty years.
For several years, CMP Solmar has distinguished itself in the market of trade in quality materials – granite, marble, quartzites, stone, onyx and travertines – from all over the world. After a careful selection of first-choice materials, and with high quality standards, the company takes care of managing the sawing and finishing processes of the slabs, before selling them on the national and international market.
Thanks to the help of an attentive sales office, assisted by external sales agents, CMP Solmar can manage the entire slab sales process with extreme care and attention, guaranteeing the delivery of materials anywhere in the world with the utmost speed.
The headquarters of CMP Solmar is located in via Milano 94 in Cantù, in the Brianza furniture district, just thirty minutes from Milan and Malpensa Airport.

Selection
The experience that CMP Solmar technicians have gained over the years is the best guarantee regarding the selection of quality materials, embellished with unique veins, from the best Italian and foreign quarries. The weekly visits we make to the different quarries allow us to select the best blocks of the various materials in time.
Thanks to the “technological photographs” – taken with very high-definition machines and related flashes – customers can preview the chosen slab, then relying on the expert eye of the agents, able to evaluate in detail the characteristics of the material and meet the needs of the most demanding customers.
Working process
After a careful selection of the material in the quarries, the working process of marble, granite and other stones is carried out by our competent and experienced staff, able to follow the production process carefully and precisely. Once the block has been sawn, we carefully follow the finishing process of the slabs, based on the request of our customers – polished, honed, leather, flamed and brushed – to verify the quality of the finished product.
Delivery
The delivery of CMP Solmar slabs – present in the Italian Warehouses or in the UK Warehouse – is carried out all over the world, quickly and with great professionalism. Expert staff will carefully follow every phase of the storage of materials. We have daily loads arriving from Verona and Carrara – starting from the control before the loading phase and making sure that the whole process is performed in a workmanlike manner.
